This past weekend I saw this on Nichelle’s Blog:

I realized that now that my Half Marathon is complete, I need a new goal! I’ve done a lot since April 10th(my first 5K) and I am looking forward to adding to my Warrior Status….just not sure what it will be yet.

Triathlon, Tough Mudder….not sure but I do know quitting won’t be involved!!

Here’s to goals and the reasons we set them!

Ten on Tuesday

1. I have not written a ToT in a LONG time, come to think of it I have not written here so much either. That’s gotta change.

2. Not having the Patriots play this past week was torture.

3. One of my oldest and closest friends is getting hitched on Friday! I am honored to be part of her wedding party, looking forward to a grand celebration.

4. My hubby and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on Saturday. We watched our video, we laughed and cried. So many great people were there to celebrate with us that are no longer here. One person that really stuck out was my Nana. I’m so glad we have that dvd to watch every year.

5. I am a truly blessed woman. I have an amazing husband and 2 healthy and happy children. Nothing is greater than that, nothing.

6. I’m pretty sure I smelled snow on Sunday morning on our way to church, yes snow smells and if you live with it in your life….you know what it smells like.

7. I am addicted to Pinterest. Seriously one of the best ideas in a long time!

8. I say, “Really” just as much as my hubby says, “Seriously”…we could both guest star on Grey’s Anatomy.

9. There are 60 days until Christmas.

10. I strive every day to be a better person.

This year has been so fun planning Halloween. Little Miss Magic loves anything and everything spooky! So as we were planning the decorating we went with spooky but not too spooky.

She loves it, so do we!!!

An Eternal Birthday

It’s hard to believe a year has passed. I had a donut and a coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts in your memory this morning. We watched the video from our wedding, which was 6years ago yesterday and laughed at all your great dance moves.

I’m happy that…we have started another project in the house on our to do list.
I’m excited because…I ran 8 miles on Monday
I’m craving…ice cream.
If I had 3 wishes they would be… 1) My house to deep clean itself 2) Go on a family vacation 3) Breathe easier

Rocky Road?

We recently renovated our front entryway, I am slowly getting it up to par…it’s going to take time to get that family wall done. Winter project! Hubster and I decided that shoes were going to be limited to most used in the hallway. His flops to go outside are a must and well as of late my running sneakers are the only shoes I use the most during the week. Even though we are limiting shoes, there is no way to limit the dirt that comes in with them. With my trusty glue gun and a trip to the dollar store I ended up with this:

It’s rather heavy, that I did not take into consideration…they are rocks after all. It’s cute…enough for now. I plan on making something else soon, just don’t know what.

Birthday Balloons!

Happy September! The past few days have been very crazy, we just got our power back from the affects of Irene about 24 hours ago. We still have issues to deal with, but at least we have power! I really wanted to make a certain project while we were powerless but then I realized my glue gun requires power too, darn!

We are happily welcoming the start of Fall, it’s by far my favorite season. I married my hubby in the Fall, both our children were born in the Fall and Football Season is just days away!! I recently pinned a balloon wreath while in my google reader and fell in love. I was going to use it for the house until my Mom suggested I bring it to their school so all the kids could have their picture taken in front of it in their special day. The school always puts together the nicest book at the end of the year, so I thought this was a great idea Mom!! I am going to make some 3, 4, 5 and 6′s from chipboard and designer paper to place in the center.

I’ll be sure to upload some pics when the kids start school, they are both celebrating 4 and 2 this October!

Back to School Subway Art

I recently downloaded this Subway Art from Sweet Coconut Lime, isn’t it so great! I had an old canvas picture that was aching for a makeover so I knew this would be the right project. I know most people frame their subway art but I was thinking out of the box. I had all the supplies on hand. I refaced the canvas, distressed it with 4 different colors, glued on my printed out subway art and then attached my tulle roses.

I have it in our entryway and think it’s the perfect addition for the upcoming month….until Halloween!!

Crayon Wreath for the Teachers

I looked…actually gasped at the calendar today and asked where has this month gone? This weekend is the last weekend of August, which means pool club and Summer Fun are coming to an end. We got the paperwork for both kiddos to start school this September. They both go to the same school and will for the next couple of years so at least I won’t be in too many different directions. I’ll be busy though, my friend Amy and I are heading the Parent Program this year. I am looking forward to it and hope to help out with raising funds for a playground on the church grounds.

I wanted to make something for the teachers, but because there are so many of them I decided to make something I thought they would all enjoy every day. I recently saw the idea and tutorial for a Crayon Wreath over here and thought it would be easy enough and easy on the budget. This is what I came up with:

I love the way it came out and I love that it’s ready way before school starts!!! Score one for Mom!!
