Sweet Remembrance

January 13th, 2009

My husband’s grandparents both have the honor of being laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery. Over the Thanksgiving holiday we went to DC to visit. His Grandmother passed away in May 2007 while I was pregnant with our daughter. They never met each other but we always said they had a special bond, a lot of things our sweet girl does reminds us often of Grandma. So when she sat down in front of the headstone I caught the shot and saved it forever.

The picture was tough to take because of the glass, but I hope you get the idea of the shadow box.

Christmas Greetings from the Good Gravy Home

January 6th, 2009

I was so excited to make our Christmas cards this year, although I was perplexed by one thing…what picture to use for them. We had her pictures done in her Christmas dress and that inspired the whole theme. I wanted to use Christmas trees, pink, red, green and ribbon. I designed these and just love how they came out. I hand wrote each greeting for our family and friends and shipped them off with not a spec to spare without paying extra postage! Hope you enjoy!

Christmas Trees Oh My!

Here is the next set of cards I did for a client.  I had so much fun designing this especially knowing that I got to use my new stamps! I embossed the snowflakes to give the card so texture, along with the cute polka dot ribbon. The trees were all colored by hand and given dimension. I hand stamped the inside with 2 sentiments per her request. I loved how they came out, hope you do too!
